ACCELERATOR DPG

DPG Medium speed Accelerator. It is used (normally in the range 0.5±0.3 phr dosages) as a secondary

accelerator in combination with thiazoles and sulphenamides. Such combinations give fast cures and a high level

of physicals with good modulus and are very popular for footwear & cables, etc. As a replacement of ETU, it is a

preferred accelerator for Neoprenes used in conjunction with TMT or MS (TMTMS) where

usage of both normally stay around 1 phr. It is also a popular accelerator (2.5-3 phr) for ebonites. DPG is used in

NR latex as a secondary gelling agent (“foam stabilizer”) in the silico-fluoride-gelled latex foam process.

Storage and Handling

Stable indefinitely under normal storage conditions. No special handling precautions are necessary. Normal

precautions to avoid contact with skin and eyes should be followed. For eyes, flush with plenty of water and

seek medical advice.
