HBS is delayed action Sulphenamide Accelerator. Its produces vulcanisates of excellent quality whose

mechanical properties and ageing characteristics resemble those of boosted thiazole systems. It imparts high level

of tensile strength and modulus in rubber as compared to other sulphenamides and is thus a popular accelerator

for inner tubes. Typical dosage of Accicure HBS in rubber compounds usually varies from 0.5 – 1.5 phr although

in speciality EV systems even higher dosages are recommended.

HBS is suitable for mixes containing high loadings of reinforcing carbon blacks. Used in conjugation with RE, fast

curing yet very safe systems are obtainable.

Storage and Handling

Store in a cool dry place. Storage life: 6 months. No special handling precautions are necessary. Normal

precautions to avoid contact with skin and eyes should be followed. For eyes, flush with plenty of water and

seek medical advice.
