ACCELERATOR MASTER BATCH R 170


R170 is an accelerator blend recommended for EPDM rubber to give vulcanisate with very snappy cure, higher

physical properties coupled with good scorch safety during processing. Blooming on surface, which is generally

observed with EPDM products is totally avoided with R170. Maximum phr recommended is 5.0

Mixing Cycle:

All the above rubber accelerator blends should be mixed at the last stage of mixing. It is preferred the master

batch is matured for 24 hrs before adding these accelerators. Whenever applicable, sulphur can be immediately

added after that. No special care is needed to mix these Accelerators.
