RETARDER RE

RE is a novel scorch inhibitor for rubber stocks containing reinforcing furnace blacks and thereby helps in

extrusion and calendaring operations at higher processing temperatures. It is effective with both thiazole and

sulphenamide accelerators. Dosage of RE in rubber compounds would vary from 0.1 to 0.3 phr depending on the

degree of scorch safety required.

Storage and Handling

Stable for a period of one year in closed containers kept at ambient temperatures.No special handling precautions

are necessary. Normal precautions to avoid contact with skin and eyes should be followed. Skin contamination:

Wash liberally with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and

seek medical advice.
